Meet Baker Bryant

Baker Bryant is a senior in the Wayne County JAGTN program. He has already had to face and overcome obstacles due to an injury this year. “Baker is a senior football player that was injured a week before their first game. His injury will likely cause him to miss his entire senior season. His attitude about adversity has really spoken volumes to me and others around him. He loves football and couldn't wait to play his senior season, but through injury he has seen that he loves to coach and encourage as well. Baker has taken on the roll of still being a senior leader, but doing that from the sidelines. Baker said, "Sometimes life doesn't go the way you think but you have to roll with the changes and make the best of it." That is exactly what Baker has done and it's inspiring to everyone around him,” said his JAGTN teacher, Gregg Lee.

Baker is a member of the Beta Club and also the Math Club. He is very active in many fundraising and community activities through the school. Baker plans to attend the University of Tennessee at Martin and pursue a degree in Kinesiology and Education. His plans are to become a P.E. teacher in Wayne County. We are proud to spotlight Baker Bryant for his resilience in the face of adversity.
