Meet Jaylen Tolbert

Our next Outstanding Student is Jaylen Tolbert, a Senior at Maplewood High School in Nashville, TN.

According to his JAGTN teacher, Ms. Dannie Fletcher, “This student has a very professional demeanor and is always up for a challenge. He is one of four JAGTN students who is currently working on an MNPS cross-schools PBL as an internship.”

Jaylen is working his way towards a high school diploma through setting goals for the future. Jaylen turned 18 this October on the 10th. He has the honor of being a running back on the MHS football team and has an interest in cooking. He plans to attend a 2yr community college to study Culinary Arts. He is also a leader at school who demonstrates leadership by working hard, maintaining a strong GPA of 3.25 and serving as one of Maplewood's Student Ambassadors.
